Bennett Meredith is a new Purdue football quarterback. What you should know

Bennett Meredith is a redshirt freshman Purdue football quarterback who transferred from Arizona State. He replaced a Hudson Card for one series in the third quarter against Nebraska and will start against Northwestern.

Meredith completed his lone pass attempt for -1 yards in the Nebraska game.

He had decided to transfer to Charlotte after ASU's spring practice but flipped to the Boilermakers.

Hudson Card is QB1 after Aidan O'Connell graduated and Brady Allen transferred to Louisville, where former Boilermakers coach Jeff Brohm took over after the 2022 regular season.

Meredith started for two seasons at Hoover High School in Alabama, passing for 5,511 yards on 64% accuracy with 48 touchdowns.
