Bengals QB Joe Burrow out for season with torn ligament

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will miss the remainder of the 2023 season due to the wrist injury suffered Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed the news during a press conference on the Friday after the game.

Burrow suffered the injury during the first half of Thursday’s loss to the Ravens. He was unable to properly grip the ball on the sidelines, then went to the locker room and was ruled out. After the game, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor suggested the injury was a sprained wrist, though further tests would reveal the extent of the damage.

After the results of the MRI on Friday, the outlook changed and the Bengals will move forward with Jake Browning under center.

The Bengals play again on November 26, a homestand against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
