Bengals enter Week 13 vs. Dolphins as massive underdogs

The Cincinnati Bengals enter Week 13 as massive underdogs on the road against the Miami Dolphins.

While the Dolphins are another rebuilding program, oddsmakers paint the Bengals as 11.5-point underdogs, per BetMGM.

And it’s not too hard to see why.

The Bengals flopped last weekend in their first showing since Joe Burrow’s injury, losing to a struggling New York Giants team. Along the way, the Brandon Allen-led offense only managed 155 yards of total offense.

Miami has turned for the better under head coach Brian Flores, sprinting out to a 7-4 record this year. Both Ryan Fitzpatrick and breakout rookie Tua Tagovailoa have looked solid under center and superb defense is a big part of the reason the Dolphins boast a plus-79 point differential.

Sunday’s game is a road contest for the Bengals, which have been disastrous for the team under Zac Taylor and that doesn’t figure to change if the head coach can’t squeeze the most out of a talented cast around the quarterback position.

With Burrow, the Bengals were fun underdog bets because they covered the spread so often merely because the quarterback was so talented. Now, they’re back to 2019 status as a must-avoid team on betting lines.
