Ben Simmons tells Daryl Morey he is not yet ready to return to Sixers
The Philadelphia 76ers are in the process of looking to help Ben Simmons get back out on the floor for them and help them try to win basketball games. In turn, that would help boost his trade value so the Sixers can get the value they expect for a player of his caliber.
Simmons returned to the team on Oct. 11 after ending his holdout and he has practiced with the team, but he remains sidelined. He expressed a desire to return to the floor for Philadelphia and that he is seeking professional help in order to do so.
However, Simmons has not been keeping the team in the loop and that is frustrating them. Per Shams Charania, president Daryl Morey approached Simmons to check in on his eventual return to the team and the 25-year old told him that he is not quite ready just yet.
Sources: 76ers president Daryl Morey approached All-Star Ben Simmons today about his return to game action, but Simmons restated that he is not yet mentally ready to play and is continuing to seek professional help. There’s no timetable on Simmons‘ return to the floor.

At this point, there is not much the Sixers can do other than to continue to support Simmons and help him get back out on the floor. He will return when he is ready, whenever that will be.
