Baylor transfer Matthew Mayer undecided on college or turning pro
Baylor transfer Matthew Mayer is reportedly still deciding between returning to school next season or staying in the NBA draft, according to Jeff Goodman of Stadium.
Mayer, who has one year of eligibility remaining, declared for the draft on April 22 with the option to return to school. He then opted to enter the transfer portal and is currently being recruited by programs like Alabama, Arkansas and North Carolina among others.
The 6-foot-9 forward tested the pre-draft process last year but ultimately opted to return to Baylor for his senior year. He is currently training in Chicago preparing for the draft and is still weighing his options for next season.
Baylor transfer Matthew Mayer has heard from Texas Tech, UNC, USC, Memphis, Alabama, Arkansas and Illinois, among others, he told me.

Mayer averaged 9.8 points, five rebounds, 1.2 steals and one assist on 40.9% shooting from the field in 33 games. He is viewed as perhaps the top transfer on the market and could help a program make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament next season.
He is currently not projected to be drafted but will have the opportunity to meet with teams and gain feedback on his overall skill set and make a decision on next season prior to the June 1 withdrawal deadline.
The NBA draft will take place on June 23.
