Baylor linebacker Trevon Blanchard is currently suspended following accusations of domestic violence against him.

A judge in McLennan County, Texas, signed the civil protective order vs. Blanchard on Tuesday. A woman who dated Blanchard said he’s used physical force against her at least four times, dating back to the summer of 2016.

The school said in a statement that Blanchard was suspended on Feb. 7 after it found out about the allegations from the McLennan County District Attorney.

The most recent alleged violent act towards the woman came on Feb. 4, when Blanchard allegedly became upset when the woman was chatting with a waiter at a restaurant. Police told KWTX they have no criminal record of the incident. From the affidavit obtained by KWTX:

Blanchard “began verbally abusing the applicant”, and followed her as she tried to leave, the affidavit says.

He grabbed her hand in an attempt to take her car keys and broke her finger, cutting the finger “to the point where she was unable to have it stitched,” the affidavit says.

The woman also accuses Blanchard of shoving her into walls and other objects in January after she received a message on Snapchat from a man. She also alleges he slammed her into a car in November, upset about a Twitter post she made. The order prevents Blanchard from having any contact with the woman, who says Blanchard attempts to control her life.

Blanchard was the team’s fourth-leading tackler in 2016. He had 73 tackles and nine tackles for loss along with one interception and one fumble recovery.

Monday, Baylor officials responded to a Texas legislator’s request that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott get the Texas Rangers involved to investigate an obstruction of justice regarding the sexual assault scandal at the school. The school said it would cooperate fully with authorities and reiterated it has made changes after the lack of action by many officials when it came to allegations of assault.

Regents from the school told the Wall Street Journal they were aware of 19 accusations of sexual or domestic assaults by football players from 2011-2014. A lawsuit filed in January said 52 rapes were committed by Baylor players from 2011-2014.
