Baseball: Vote for the Varsity 845 player of the week for April 24-30

Online polling is open for the Varsity 845 baseball players of the week for April 24-30.

Nominations are pulled from reports to Varsity 845. Players from Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties are eligible. One player per school is permitted per category.

Go to RecordOnline.com/sports and click on the Varsity 845 baseball players of the week. Vote as often as you like (please, no computer bot voting) until 9 p.m. on Friday. The winners will be announced via Twitter @Varsity 845.

Last week’s winners were Austin Hartman of Tri-Valley (hitter) and Leam Powell of Chapel Field (pitcher).

The voting is split into pitchers and hitters – you may vote in each category.

Fateman got the final out of a combined no-hitter as the Crusaders downed Warwick 4-1

Jackson Maile, New Paltz

He tossed a two-hitter, fanning nine, and added a double, two singles and two RBI for the Huguenots in a 7-1 win over Red Hook on Wednesday.

John Ryder, Marlboro

He struck out seven batters and added the game-winning RBI as the Dukes tipped Lourdes 6-5 on Friday.

Josh Warming, Eldred

It took eight innings but Warming tossed a three-hitter, fanned 10, posted two hits and scored the winning run as the Yellowjackets buzzed Sullivan West 2-1 on Friday.

He posted three hits and knocked in four in Port’s 8-7 setback to Beacon on Wednesday.

Spencer Freer, Wallkill

A home run and two singles led to two RBI for the Panthers in a 15-1 rout of Rondout Valley on Monday.

Ethan Gallo, Minisink Valley

He hit a three-run home run and drove in a fourth run as the Warriors blanked Port Jervis 12-0 on Tuesday.

Londyn Guara, Liberty

A double, triple and four RBI helped push Liberty past Livingston Manor 13-0 on Tuesday.

Lou Miller, Burke Catholic

A three-run home run helped power the Eagles over Seward 5-1 on Friday.

Hunter Stuart, Warwick

Timing is everything. His three-run home run in the sixth inning put the Wildcats on top in a 7-3 win over Kingston on Monday.

Will Wilson, Chapel Field

Three hits and three RBI helped propel the Lions past Fallsburg 18-0 on Monday.
