Last week: Standout performances from the previous week

Scoreboard: Scores, results and more from April 24-30 high school baseball games

Tyler Castrararo, Mahopac

He topped off his week with a lights out performance on the mound, throwing a complete-game two-hit shutout over league foe John Jay-East Fishkill, racking up 17 strikeouts and one walk in the process. Castrararo also batted a combined 4-for-7 with a home run, two stolen bases, four walks and four runs scored throughout the week.

Anthony Chenard, Ardsley

The junior center fielder was a bright spot with his bat and his glove. He went a combined 5-for-9 (.555), with two doubles, three triples, five runs scored, two walks, and seven RBI. Chenard also had eight putouts in center field throughout the Panthers' 2-1 week, which included a pair of league wins over Sleepy Hollow and a close loss to Scarsdale.

Alex Esteverena, Pelham

He pitched seven strong innings in the series opener against league foe Eastchester on Wednesday, giving up one earned run on four hits, while striking out 11 batters. He also went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and the game-winning RBI single to walk things off in the bottom of the eighth. All in all, he batted .444 through the Pelicans 3-0 week, which included wins over Gorton and two over Eastchester.

Kenichiro Franck, Harrison

The Huskies went 2-0 this past week, and Franck played a major role in helping Harrison pick up its second win, going the distance with a complete-game one-hit shutout in a 1-0 victory over defending Section 1 Class B champ Rye Neck. Franck tallied 12 strikeouts in the win.

Connor Kenny, Bronxville

The junior catcher went a combined 7-for-12 (.583) with three doubles, four runs and eight RBI over a four-game stretch for the Broncos. He had a knack for delivering in key situations, with six of his eight RBI coming with two outs, and they either tied the game or put Bronxville ahead, including the go-ahead two-out two-run double in the sixth inning to help the Broncos beat Albertus Magnus.

John Kisslinger, Haldane

It might've been an up-and-down week for the Blue Devils, who went 2-2, but Kisslinger was a consistent contributor all throughout at the plate and in the outfield. He batted a combined 7-for-13 (.538) with a double, two home runs, seven RBI, three runs scored, one walk and one stolen base.

Billy Murnighan, Hastings

He pitched a shutout against rivertown rival Dobbs Ferry to start the week, with six strikeouts. Then, he entered in relief, helping the Yellow Jackets get the win and earning the victory on the mound in another shutout inning of work with one strikeout in the 2-1 eight-inning win. Murnighan also batted .333 for the week.

Tyler Renz, Fox Lane

A pure pitcher, the rain might've washed away what would've been his second start of the week, but there wasn't much that could slow him down in his lone pitching appearance. The St. John's commit tossed a complete-game one-hit shutout in a 3-0 league win over White Plains, where he racked up 19 strikeouts and didn't issue any walks. At one point, Renz struck out nine straight batters in his dominant outing.

Sebastian Santos-Olson, Iona Prep

He came in clutch during the Gaels 4-3, 10-inning extra-inning win over St. Peter's. Santos-Olson came in relief and ended up pitching the final 5.1 innings, holding St. Peter's to just two hits and no runs, while adding nine strikeouts in his shutout appearance to eventually get the win on the mound.

Ben Schulman, Horace Greeley

The Virginia-committed sophomore played a big role in helping the Quakers secure their first win over Fox Lane in over a decade. He went six innings on the mound, giving up just two runs on two hits, while striking out 13 batters in the 3-2 victory and his lone start of the week.

Sam Suniewick, Hackley

Suniewick threw a complete-game no-hitter against Horace Mann, with six strikeouts and three walks. He also had a triple and drove in all three runs during the 3-0 win to top off his hitless pitching performance. Suniewick followed up with a hit, RBI and three runs scored in Hackley's 11-10 win against Dalton.

Jack Vnenchak, Blind Brook

The senior co-captain had a quality outing on the mound to top off a strong week, going 6.2 innings with two earned runs on just three hits allowed, while striking out 10 batters. He also went a combined 6-for-11 (.545) for the week at the plate and scored three runs in the Trojans' 3-0 week.

Randy Wiesner, Panas

He played a big part in the Panthers' 3-0 week. He had a hit and a RBI to start things off in a 2-0 win over Somers. Then, he went 3-for-4 with a grand slam and six RBI in a rematch with Somers later in the week. Wiesner topped things off with the walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to cap the Panthers' 2-0 win over Brewster to end the week.
