Top 10 rankings

All records entering May 7

  1. Kennedy Catholic (15-4) — Kennedy was busy, with four games in four days, but they stayed upbeat and got two thrilling wins over Iona Prep. Kennedy lost a heartbreaker in an April 17 suspended game that was resumed on Saturday and finished with St. Joseph's by the Sea enjoying a walk off win in the 12th inning. The Gaels got back on track with a win over Regis to start the week. Previously: 3

  2. Ketcham (13-2) — The Storm had a nice eight-game winning streak going, after a 4-0 week where they won every game by six or more runs against the likes of New Rochelle, Mahopac and a series sweep over Carmel. Unfortunately, that streak came to an end on Monday, after a great pitching performance by Landon Seipp and Landon Stichbury's decisive home run in John Jay-East Fishkill's 1-0 win over Ketcham. Previously: 1

  3. Iona Prep (14-6) — Pitching remains solid for the Gaels, but their inconsistencies in the batter's box have cost them. They enjoyed lopsided wins over St. Raymond and Cardinal Hayes, but fell in close one-run duels against Kennedy Catholic. Previously: 2

  4. Arlington (15-2) — The Admirals extended their winning streak to nine straight and picked up marquee wins against John Jay-East Fishkill, Fox Lane, Mahopac and Mamaroneck. Previously: 4

  5. Mahopac (12-5-1) — The WolfPac was able to put the ball in play and score some runs against Ketcham, but fell to the Storm in a rematch. No shame in that though, as they picked up a pair of league wins over rival Carmel and John Jay-East Fishkill, before closing out the busy week against Lakeland. On Monday, they lost, 10-5, to Arlington in the series opener. Previously: 7

  6. John Jay-East Fishkill (9-4-1) — A couple of close losses to league rivals Arlington and Mahopac, plus a rain postponement for its annual Strikeout Cancer game against Fox Lane, dampened the week for the Patriots, but they were able to finally enjoy a win over Suffern in a game that was suspended and resumed a week later. They also opened the week with a big 1-0 win over Ketcham on Monday, and will aim to build off of that with a couple big matchups this week. Previously: 5

  7. Tappan Zee (15-3) — The Dutchmen have been consistent throughout the season so far, and have a six-game winning streak after clinching sole possession of the league crown last week and defeating Suffern on Monday. Previously: Not ranked

  8. Clarkstown North (10-6) — It's not about how you start, right? The Rams have looked like a completely different team after starting 1-5 this spring and getting outscored 42-22. Since then, they've won nine of their last 10 games, a streak that includes marquee wins over North Rockland, John Jay-East Fishkill, Clarkstown South and a three-game sweep of Suffern. Their only loss was a 12-3 result against Ketcham, as they've outscored opponents, 81-42, through this 10-game stretch. Previously: Not ranked

  9. Fox Lane (11-5) — After starting the week with comfortable wins over White Plains and Horace Greeley, the Foxes' bats were kept in check in tough losses to Arlington and a rematch with the Quakers. Fox Lane left 11 runners on base in a 2-1 loss to Arlington and got a tough break, while Greeley's Zach Bond threw a gem in a second meeting. Previously: 9

  10. Mamaroneck (8-7-1) The Tigers got their long-awaited revenge and put together a better showing in a 2-0 rematch at Harrison. Errors and late-game mistakes doomed them in their only other game of the week, though, as they lost to red-hot Arlington. Previously: 10

On the bubble: Ossining (10-5-1), Eastchester (12-7), Albertus Magnus (14-3), Rye (10-6), North Rockland (9-5), Harrison (10-7), Panas (10-5), Stepinac (10-10), , John Jay-Cross River (9-6), Rye Neck (13-3), Hastings (11-5), Clarkstown South (7-11), New Rochelle (8-8), Yorktown (9-8), Somers (8-7), Croton-Harmon (14-4), Nanuet (10-4), Pleasantville (12-5)
