Bape and Adidas Are Delivering a New Superstar Collaboration This Week

Adidas Originals has yet again teamed up with frequent collaborator Bape to deliver a new sneaker project. This time, the collaboration revolves around new Superstar styles dropping this week.

The Japanese streetwear label and the German sportswear giant have reimagined the classic shell-toe shoe in two colorways in commemoration of the silhouette’s 50th anniversary. The collab is releasing as part of Bape’s spring/summer ’21 collection and will be available starting this Saturday.

For the duo’s latest collab, Bape dressed the shoe in two contrasting colorways with one pair wearing a simple black and white referencing the “clean and classic” look of when the Superstar debuted in 1969. The second iteration switches things up with a bold color scheme, blending together purple, red, blue and green tones that cover the Bape Camo on the upper. Each style incorporates both the Adidas Three Stripes branding and Bape’s star logo on the sides while gold accents are applied on the tongue, lace dubrae and heel tab.

The special edition Bape x Adidas Originals Superstar collab is launching this Saturday and will be available at Bape.com and at Bape’s flagship locations. The shoe retails for 18,000 yen, which is roughly $170.

Bape and Adidas Originals’ first-ever Superstar collaboration launched in 2003 and since dropped two more Superstar collabs in 2011 and 2015, respectively.
