Australia's Lawrence dominates to win 450 c.c. class at RedBud Pro National Motocross
Australia's Jett Lawrence won both motos to dominate and win the premiere 450 C.C. class at the RedBud National Motocross Saturday afternoon at Red Bud Track and Trail in Buchanan.
Lawrence, age 19, led 17 laps of the first moto and 16 laps of the second after dominating qualifying on his Honda, to earn the maximun 50 points, outpacing Dylan Ferrandis of France and Chase Sexton of LaMoille, Ill., who each earned 42 points.

Now perfect through ten races, Lawrence is the leader after five Pro Motocross events with 250 points to Ferrandis' 193 points.
Red Bud Track and Trail is celebrating its 50th year this weekend.
Yamaha rider Haiden Deegan of Temecula , Calif., finished second in moto 1 and third in moto 2 to win the 250 cc division with 42 points.
Deegan outpaced Levi Kitchen of Washougal, Wash., who finished seventh in the first moto and won the second moto to earn 39 points. Deegan turned pro in 2022 and this is his first career win.
Kitchen, also on a Yamaha, led 16 laps in his winning effort. Hunter Lawrence of Australia (Honda) won the first moto and led 16 laps, but fell to 40th in the second moto to finish ninth overall with 25 points.

Qualifying
Timed qualifying under wet conditions saw Lawrence gap his competition in the 450 class while Daxton Bennick set the mark to beat in advance of his 250 debut.

Aboard his Honda, Lawrence was more than 2 seconds clear of his competitors in the first 450MX qualifying session with a 2:04.806. He improved to 2:04.713 in the second session.
Capitalizing on his placement in the B group of qualifying for the 250 division, Bennick (Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing) set the fastest qualifying time in the class during preparations for his Pro Motocross debut.
With a 2:06.88s lap in the first round of qualifying, Bennick put 0.604 seconds between his Yamaha and that of his teammate Justin Cooper. Cooper set the mark to beat in the A group at 2:07.484 seconds in the second session.
