Austin Reaves says LeBron James deserves a Lakers statue
Does LeBron James deserve a statue outside of Crypto.com Arena for his contributions to the Los Angeles Lakers? It depends on whether one thinks he has accomplished enough in a Lakers uniform yet.
While Shaquille O’Neal, who has his own statue in Los Angeles, thinks James does deserve one, James Worthy isn’t so sure.
Austin Reaves is a player who has ascended to standout status, and it is helping James pace himself and preserve himself more at age 38. The undrafted guard told Sports Illustrated that James does deserve a statue because he took the Lakers from the lottery to their 17th NBA championship in very little time.
"He came to LA at a time where wasn't having much success and 2-3 years put a banner in the rafters, so why not? In my opinion, he's the greatest player to ever play the game."
