Arsenal enjoy a comfortable victory over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium, winning 3-0 to create a four-point gap at the top of the Premier League table. The Gunners, who produced 3.98 expected goals throughout the game, opened the scoring late in the first half thanks to a Saka penalty after Havertz was brought down in the box. After the break, the Cherries, who could only create 0.37 expected goals throughout, grew into the match, but it was Arteta's side who found the second goal. Trossard arrived in the box to get on the end of a flick from Rice to fire into the bottom corner, doubling Arsenal's lead. Bournemouth thought they'd pulled one back through Semenyo, but the goal was disallowed for a foul on Raya. In the final few seconds of the game, Rice latched onto a throughball from Jesus inside the penalty area and dispatched beyond Travers at the near post to make it 3-0. Iraola's men remain in the top half of the Premier League, at least temporarily, while the Gunners have a four-point lead at the top of the table, with Man City playing later today against Wolves. That's all for today, goodbye!

Meanwhile, an Arsenal victory stands at 86.7 per cent. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Bournemouth make a change early in the second half as they look to get back into this one - could they call upon Unal or Faivre in attack? Arteta might be looking to push ahead for the second goal, with Martinelli and Jesus waiting in the wings.

Travers tripped Havertz and the German forward went to ground, with Saka stepping up to the spot to dispatch from 12 yards, firing into the bottom corner. Iraola will be disappointed to have conceded in that manner, but it's certainly been coming.

Since Bournemouth picked up their first Premier League win of the season at the end of October (v Burnley), they have picked up 45 points in 26 matches (W13 D6 L7). Only the current top four sides have more in this time. They have never won more matches in a top-flight campaign than their 13 in 2023-24 (also 13 in 2018-19). The Cherries have won 1-0 at Wolves and 3-0 against Brighton in their last two Premier League games, and they could secure a third victory without conceding in a row for the first time in their top-flight history. Andoni Iraola’s side will be hoping to finish the season strong and they stand a chance of ensuring a top-half finish, while they’re only six points behind Manchester United in sixth.
