Aroldis Chapman, a free-agent reliever who pitched for the Cincinnati Reds from 2010 to 2015, agreed with the Pittsburgh Pirates on a one-year, $10.5 million contract, pending a physical, according to multiple reports Monday night.

Francys Romero was the first to report the news on Twitter.

Chapman, who turns 36 in February, posted a 3.09 ERA in 58 1/3 innings with the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers last season. He recorded six saves.

Since spending his first six Major League Baseball seasons with the Reds, Chapman has pitched for the Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, Royals and Rangers.

He has recorded 321 career saves in the regular season, including 146 as a Red.

Chapman, a seven-time All-Star, won his second career World Series last season with Texas.
