Arnold Palmer Invitational: What to know before you go

Attending the Arnold Palmer Invitational this week? Here’s what to know:

Mastercard’s sponsorship

The company will celebrate 20 years associated with the API.

  • Mastercard ambassadors, including Max Homa, Viktor Hovland and Justin Rose, will engage with fans in the Mastercard Club via a new player walkway.

  • Interactive demonstrations include an AI-driven putting simulator, Web3/NFT experiences, a personalized AI shopping tool and an Xbox gaming station, among other things.

  • Organizers will give 2,000 cardholders a connected golf hat able to unlock personalized content available for access beyond the tournament. An NFT scavenger hunt gamifies the golf course by allowing participants to claim digital collectibles to win experiences/prizes.

Foodies & Fairways

Mastercard and Capital One Business selected Orlando’s Latin-inspired Papi Smash’d Burger, founded by Chris Hernandez to pay homage to his late father, and Charlie’s Bakery and Creamery, a local institution since 1971, to showcase their food at an exclusive concession space near the 18th tee box.

Arnie’s Army Experience

The exhibit located near the 18th green features memorabilia from Palmer’s life and career, interactive opportunities and available merchandise with proceeds going to the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation.

Arnie and Winnie Palmer Foundation

Through grantmaking and initiatives, the foundation champions the Palmers’ devotion to youth and future generations, commitment to nature and its ability to enrich and heal.

In July 2021, Lake Lorna Doone Park, located near Orlando’s Camping World Stadium, reopened following an $8 million renovation that included the addition of the Winnie Palmer Nature Walk.
