Armando Bacot reveals which milestone means the most to him

When reaching UNC milestones, not many have done it like Armando Bacot, who recently became the seventh player in Tar Heels history to reach the 2,000-point club.

From rebounding to scoring, Bacot has impacted all aspects of the game for UNC. Bacot will only continue to add to his Tar Heel legacy, reaching more milestones as he attempts to lead UNC to a national championship.

Bacot’s resume speaks for itself, but which milestone of his is the highest? Well, Bacot met with the media Friday, revealing why reaching the 2k mark wasn’t so big for him while expressing which individual record or milestone down the line he will likely be most proud of.

“It was big for me (reaching 2k points), but I said stats kinda keep an asterisk on just because it’s my fifth year, I won’t put too much into it. I won’t get too excited.”

“I would probably say the rebounding one. I feel like that’s something that Carolina as a school is built on. Even from my first day being here, just Coach Rob and Coach Williams always talked to me about rebounding and, that being so pivotal. I think it’s something that won’t be broken, so probably that.”

This season, Bacot is averaging 14.9 points and 10.8 rebounds. Bacot and the Tar Heels will be back in action Saturday, as they travel to South Carolina for their second road conference game against Clemson.
