Will Angel Reese play? LSU women's basketball vs. Texas Southern: Score, live updates

The eyes of the entire sport will be on Baton Rouge on Monday night when No. 7 LSU women's basketball takes the court inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center for pregame warmups.

Will Tigers star forward Angel Reese play against Texas Southern?

Reese, who was one of the program's brightest stars on the way to winning its first NCAA Championship last season, did not make the trip with the team to Hammond last Friday for a game against Southeastern Louisiana. LSU (4-1) won its fourth game in a row, handling the Lions, 73-50.

Tigers coach Kim Mulkey wouldn't divulge any reason why Reese wasn't with the team Friday night but said that she's still part of the team.

"Angel was not in uniform," Mulkey said following the game. "Angel is a part of this basketball team, and we hope she's back with the team soon. I'm not gonna answer any more than that."

Mulkey sat Reese the entire second half of the Kent State game last Tuesday, a move she chalked up to a "coach's decision." Before going to the bench, the junior had scored 11 points and had five rebounds in 14 minutes in the first half.
