Andy Dalton sends heartfelt message to A.J. Green after WR retires
Former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton sent a heartfelt message to A.J. Green this week.
In the wake of Green announcing his retirement from the NFL, Dalton took to Instagram to give fans one last Dalton-to-Green connection, writing the following:
“What a career! You set the standard of what it meant to be a pro. You did it the right way. Thankful that we came into the league together. We started as teammates and turned into brothers! The Green family holds a special place in our lives. Enjoy your next chapter! 14×18”

As Bengals fans know, Green and Dalton entered the NFL together in the 2011 draft and quickly helped the Bengals overcome the sudden end of the Carson Palmer era. Dalton stayed with the Bengals through the 2019 season and Green the 2020 season as the Zac Taylor era rebuild got underway.
