Andre Iguodala trades jokes with Steph Curry during golf round at ‘The Match III’

On Friday, Steph Curry was in the tee box for “The Match III: Champions for Change.” The Golden State Warriors point guard rounded out a star-powered foursome that featured two-time Super Bowl-winning passer Peyton Manning, NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley and PGA Tour veteran Phil Mickelson.

In the third edition of the celebrity golf match, Curry and Manning teamed up against Barkley and Mickelson for 15 holes at Stone Canyon Golf Club in Oro Valley, Arizona, to help raise funds for Historically black colleges and universities around the country.

Along with the talented cast of golfers on the course, the group of analysts and commentators for the event had a familiar face for fans of the Warriors. Curry’s former teammate turned Miami Heat forward Andre Iguodala was featured on the broadcast.

With Iguodala on the mic, it didn’t take long for the pair of former teammates to start trading jokes. As Curry was driving the cart, the 2015 NBA Finals MVP had a question for his former teammate regarding his outfit choice for the round.

On top of his zebra-powered shirt, Curry was riding around Stone Canyon in style. The five-time All-Star had a custom golf cart that featured his new custom Under Armour logo.

Despite his swagger on the course, it didn’t translate to his game. The Curry and Manning tandem fell to Mickelson and Barkley, 4-3 in the alternate scoring format. Although Curry wasn’t apart of the pairing that was crowned champion, the foursome was able to raise a whopping $5.455 million for HBCU programs.
