Alt, Boyer, Caugherty earn first team All-Mid-Buckeye Conference in softball
A trio of Lucas Cubs softball players took home high honors as announced by the Mid-Buckeye Conference.
Isabel Alt, Maddie Boyer and Marissa Caugherty were selected first team all-league members for their 2023 seasons.
Alt hit .478 with 33 hits including four doubles, five triples and two home runs while also driving in 29 runs and scoring 23 herself. Boyer sported the second-best batting average with a .452 including 33 hits, five doubles, and two triples with 13 RBIs and 27 runs scored. Caugherty hit .368 with 21 hits including three doubles, four triples and two home runs while driving in 19 runs and scoring 12 herself.
Lucas' Kailyn Caugherty joined Mansfield Christian's Elisa McFadden and Noel Cline as second teamers while Lucas' Trinity Stickney and Mansfield Christian's Abby Heininger were honorable mentions.
