Albright College to induct four into its Athletics Hall of Fame

Sep. 20—Albright will induct four into its Athletics Hall of Fame Friday.

Ted Agurkis, Eric Kramer, Christopher Sheerer and Victoria Foanio will be honored during a reception and dinner that will be held in the Schumo Center Lobby, starting at 7 p.m.

Agurkis, Class of 1970, was a two-time All-MAC first-team defensive selection in football and helped the Lions win the the MAC Northern Division title in 1968. He won the Albright College Neal Harris Academic Excellence Award in 1970.

Kramer, Class of 2011, excelled in swimming. He won 11 individual MAC titles, five relay championships and twice was named Outstanding Swimmer at the MAC Championships (2008, 2011). He helped the Lions win the team title in 2011. He was selected to the MAC All-Century team (1912-2012). He also was the school's freshman Athlete of the Year in 2008

Sheerer, Class of 2011, was the first men's swimmer in school history to be an NCAA qualifier. He twice was named the Outstanding Swimmer at the MAC Championships (2009, 2010) and won nine MAC individual titles. He also helped the Lions win the 2011 MAC championship. He was a two-time Academic All-American (2010, 2011), the MAC Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2011 and won the Albright College Neal Harris Academic Excellence Award in 2011. He also was selected to the MAC All-Century team (1912-2012).

Foanio, Class of 2014 and a Holy Name grad, was a four-time MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year in women's tennis. She won MAC singles titles from 2011-13 and a doubles title in 2011. She was named the MAC Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2014, and was a COSIDA Academic All-American first-team pick in 2011 and a second-team selection in 2012. She was selected to the MAC All-Century team (1912-2012).
