COLLEGE STATION, Texas — On the road to what seemed like another easy SEC win, No. 1 Alabama was dealt a late scare in its trip to the Lone Star State on Saturday night. After leading Texas A&M by three scores in the third quarter, Alabama was able to stave off a comeback from the Aggies in a 27-19 victory.

Alabama (6-0, 3-0 in the SEC) was bailed out by its defense on the night, as the Crimson Tide was able to force three turnovers. After allowing Alabama to rip off 245 yards at the half, Texas A&M (4-2, 2-1) held the Tide to 355 yards on the night, its lowest total since the season opener against Florida State.
