Who will Alabama softball play in SEC Tournament? Seed, time, TV info

Alabama softball's seed for the SEC Tournament is set.

The Crimson Tide enter the SEC Tournament as the No. 9 seed, playing in the first round on Wednesday vs. the No. 8 seed LSU.

The game will be broadcasted on SEC Network and will start at 10 a.m. CT. It will be Alabama’s 13th time facing LSU in the SEC Tournament, each team having six wins over the other.

If Alabama were to win the first-round game, it would go onto the quarterfinal round on Thursday vs. No. 1 seed Tennessee. From there, it would go to the semifinals on Friday then championship game on Saturday. Alabama has won the SEC Tournament six times in program history, most recently in 2021.

Alabama (33-16, 10-14 SEC) is coming off losing its regular season series finale vs. Auburn. This season marks the first time in program history the Crimson Tide finished under .500 in conference play.

Following the conclusion of the SEC Tournament, Alabama will turn its attention to the 2024 NCAA DI softball tournament. Alabama will discover its seeding and match-up in the selection show on Sunday, May 12 at 6 p.m. CT.
