Alabama basketball transfer headed to Lincoln

Another day, another story involving Nebraska athletics and the transfer portal. The transfer is coming to Nebraska this time, and they won’t be playing on field turf but a hardwood court. Husker basketball has secured the commitment of Alabama transfer Juwan Gary. Gary Is a 6’6″ 218-pound forward who averaged 6.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in 29 appearances for the Crimson Tide. He had an up and down career in Tuscuslusa. He was forced to redshirt during the 2019-20 season after tearing his ACL in the preseason. Gary was a Top 100 recruit coming out of Columbia, South Carolina, in 2019. He’s the second Alabama player to enter the transfer portal this offseason after guard Jusaun Holt announced he would be playing at Georgia next season. Gary should fit nicely in Fred Hoiberg’s system and will likely be a starter on opening day.
