Akers and Fuller expected back for Week 5, Lewis could be activated

The Los Angeles Rams could get a host of players back from injury in Week 5, all of whom would have a significant impact.

On Monday, Sean McVay provided updates on Cam Akers and Jordan Fuller, who both missed Week 4 with rib and shoulder injuries, respectively. Akers has sat out the last two weeks, but McVay expects him to be available on Sunday against Washington.

The same goes for Fuller, who the Rams were cautious with in Week 4. He started the first three games of the season, but Taylor Rapp took his place against the Giants this past weekend.

As if that wasn’t enough good news for the Rams, McVay also sounds encouraged by the progress Terrell Lewis has made in his return from the non-football injury list.

Lewis has missed the first four weeks with a knee injury but began practicing last week for the first time since camp. McVay said Monday that there’s a possibility Lewis could be activated for Week 5.

Lewis was drafted in the third round this year out of Alabama. He’s a bigger edge rusher with a ton of potential, but he is a rookie so expectations will have to be tempered.
