Aggies alumnus Quenton Jackson named NBA G League Player of the Week for Windy City Bulls

Texas A&M alumnus Quenton Jackson is making the most of his opportunities with the Windy City Bulls and received NBA G League Player of the Week honors on Tuesday.

Jackson earned the accolade with a jaw-dropping stat line on Jan. 30. During a 117-104 win against the Birmingham Squadron, he tallied a career-high 40 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.

The 2022 Texas A&M graduate signed with the Chicago Bulls on Sept. 8 but was waived on Oct. 16 before the 2023-24 regular season began. He started playing for Chicago’s G League affiliate on Nov. 9.

Jackson was undrafted in 2022 and agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Washington Wizards on Sept. 13, 2022. He was waived 32 days later on Oct. 15 and joined the Capital City Go-Go, the Wizards’ G League club. Jackson signed a two-way deal with Washington on Feb. 10 and played in nine games to finish the 2022-23 campaign before being released on July 24.

The 6-foot-5, 173-pound shooting guard became the 39th Aggie all-time to register 1,000 career points in College Station. In 87 games and 33 starts, he tallied totals of 1,035 points, 154 assists and 128 steals.
