ACM sweeps Cecil
Sep. 19—CUMBERLAND — Allegany College of Maryland swept Cecil College on Monday, winning by scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-18.
"Tonight was a total team effort," Allegany head coach Joe Brewer said. "We did a great job of staying in system and keeping pressure on Cecil."
The Trojans improve to 6-3 overall.
Emmy Wilson recorded 15 kills with three digs.
Izzy Kendall finished with five kills, three aces and three digs.
"Izzy gave us a spark in the third game from the service line," Brewer said. "It allowed us to finish the game on a 8-0 run."
Ryley Palumbo finished with 10 assists, five digs and an ace.
Alysa Shoemaker added 19 assists, three digs, one ace and a kill.
Sadie Boyko recorded nine digs, eight kills and one and a half blocks.
Rylee Stayer added six kills, five digs and an ace.
Allegany is at Anne Arundel on Friday at 7 p.m.
