6 things to know about new Bills OL Nick Broeker

Here are six things to know about new Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Nick Broeker, the team’s seventh-round pick at the 2023 NFL draft.

Durable

Broeker is an ironman on the offensive line.

At Ole Miss, he appeared in more than 40 total games. He never once missed an outing due to injury.

Pro Football Focus graded him a 65.2 overall mark in 2022, for what it’s worth. He did not allow a single sack last year as well.

Snickers wrapper

Here’s the most-interesting thing you’ll find out about Broeker: His Snickers wrapper routine.

According to Broeker, when he was younger he dropped 40 points in a basketball game when he put one of the candy bar wrappers in his sock. The routine stuck.

Without a doubt, the Bills would have loved Broeker’s durability and versatility. On the latter, he told The Draft Network prior to the 2023 draft that he can lineup at all five spots on the O-line. He mostly has at left tackle and guard, but all five is impressive from Broeker.

Legendary Bills offensive lineman Kent Hull, a two-time All-Pro, played in Buffalo from 1986-1996. A former Mississippi State player, Hull has an award named after him which is presented annually to the top collegiate offensive lineman in the state of Mississippi.

Broeker won the Kent Hull Award in 2022.

Interest from other teams

Despite falling to the seventh round, there was interest in Broeker from around the NFL. Per Bengals Wire and Titans Wire, those respective teams met with Broeker prior to the draft.
