6 players to watch as Louisville football looks for first ACC win against Boston College
Louisville and Boston College are in similar positions.
Both teams are winless in ACC play and are looking to change that. Boston's last conference loss was Florida State with the Seminoles downing Boston College handily 44-14 a week after outlasting the Cardinals, 35-31.
Louisville will have to try for its first league win on the road when playing the Eagles at noon Saturday at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Boston College has won three of the last five meetings with U of L, though the Cardinals won last year at home, 28-14.

Watched 2022 all-targets cutup on @BCFootball WR Zay Flowers and he looks more sudden than junior 🎥. @ZayFlowers has pretty unique route & gear-change savvy for college wideout. Natural catch-to-run guy & different gear w/ ball in hands. Handles like race car on this rep: pic.twitter.com/B3g8h2BsnK

Vinny DePalma, LB, Boston College
As the Eagles’ leading tackler and a key cog in the team’s defense, the grad student had a fourth-down stop against the Seminoles and totaled 11 tackles, one for loss. That brings him to 32 tackles and a forced fumble for the year.
Malik Cunningham, QB, Louisville
In the past three years, the redshirt senior has averaged 230.3 yards passing and 103 yards rushing against Boston College’s defense. He’ll look to continue that trend a week after becoming the eighth player in NCAA history to reach 8,000 passing and 3,000 rushing yards all-time.
Yaya Diaby, DL, Louisville
One of the main sources of energy for the Cardinals’ defense, the defensive end totaled four tackles, two for loss, and a sack in a big win over South Florida. He’s got four sacks on the year for a team total of 13, which ranks among the top 15 in the country.
