5-star SF Derrion Reid names top three schools

Five-star shooting forward Derrion Reid has named his top three schools.

Reid plays basketball for Prolific Prep in Napa, California. Reid transferred from Grovetown High School in Grovetown, Georgia, ahead of his senior year.

The 6-foot-7, 180-pound forward is the No. 16 player in the nation, per 247Sports. Reid is the No. 4 power forward in the country and the No. 2 recruit in California in the class of 2024.

The five-star forward is versatile and can play either shooting forward or power forward. Reid is a good rebounder and defender. Reid plays inside more than you would expect at his size. Reid often throws down highlight dunks.

The Florida State Seminoles have had a back-to-back down years in the ACC. Florida State has a long history of developing and recruiting top wing talent, so head coach Leonard Hamilton and the Seminoles should have a legitimate chance to land Derrion Reid.
