4 newcomers to represent Texas Tech basketball teams at Big 12 media days

Several newcomers will represent the Texas Tech basketball programs during next week's Big 12 Tipoff media days in Kansas City, Mo.

Head coach Grant McCasland will make his debut as the leader of the Red Raiders during men's portion on Wednesday. He will be joined by Devan Cambridge, Joe Toussaint and Warren Washington, three transfers who joined the Red Raiders this summer.

Toussaint transferred from West Virginia while Cambridge and Washington each came from Arizona State. McCasland will speak to the media around 9:55 a.m. Wednesday in the T-Mobile Center.

Jordyn Merritt, the Florida transfer, will head to Kansas City along with coach Krista Gerlich and returners Bailey Maupin and Rhyle McKinney to represent the Lady Raiders.

Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark will kick off media days at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning with a press conference. The conference's women's teams will follow with Gerlich set to speak to the media at 9:15 a.m.
