Here are the 3 Illinois golf courses scheduled to host 2024 U.S. Open qualifiers
The United States Golf Association announced its qualifying sites for the 124th U.S. Open Championship, scheduled for June 13-16 at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
The 109 local qualifying events run from April 22 to May 20, including three in the state of Illinois. The top players from all those events advance to final qualifiers on May 20 and June 3.
Online player registration 2024 U.S. Open begins Feb. 21 and goes through April 10 at champs.usga.org. Last year, a record 10,187 players entered the championship at The Los Angeles Country Club. To be eligible, a player must have a handicap not exceeding 0.4, or be a professional, according to the USGA.
