The 27 girls tennis players to watch from MetroWest and the Milford area in 2024

Just six of last spring's Daily News All-stars were seniors, which brings back 10 to the courts in 2024.
These 27 girls tennis players to watch in 2024 played for state championships, raised Final Four trophies and are ranked by the UTSA.
Westborough reached its second straight Division 2 state final, while Lincoln-Sudbury played for the Division 1 title. Wayland and Dover-Sherborn advanced to the Division 3 state semifinals, while Hopedale (Division 4) and Wellesley (Division 1) were quarterfinalists.
Overall 13 area teams qualified for the postseason, and with this much talent back, MetroWest and the Milford area could make a lot of noise in the state tournament. Here are 27 girls tennis players to watch:
Abigal Aldrich, Sr., Hopedale
She was a Division 4 honorable mention Central Mass. all-star last spring. The Blue Raiders advanced to the state quarterfinals.
Emmy Beauchesne, Jr., Algonquin
She was named a Division 1 Central Mas. honorable mention all-star last season after helping the Titans reach the Division 1 state tournament and win a preliminary round game.
Diya Bhattacharya, Jr., Westborough
She was 19-4 last spring, as the Rangers went to the Division 2 state final for the second year in a row. Bhattacharya is a two-time Mid-Wach All-Star.
Elena Chen, Jr., Westborough
She was undefeated against Central Mass. competition at No. 1 doubles with graduated senior Ellie King last spring. The Pair was 17-2 entering the Division 2 Final Four, as the Rangers played for a state title
May Chen, So., Hopkinton
She was a Tri-Valley League All-Star as a freshman and went 12-7 during her first varsity season. The Hillers advanced to the Division 2 Round of 16.

Callie Costanza, Sr., Hopedale
She helped the Blue Raiders play in the Division 4 quarterfinals last year. Costanza was a Division 4 honorable mention Central Mass. all-star.
Brooke Daniels, Jr., Franklin
She was a Hockomock all-star and helped the Panthers advance to the Division 1 state tournament.

Isabel Feldman, Jr., Westborough
She lost just twice during her sophomore season. Feldmen went undefeated against Central Mass. competition at No. 2 and No. 3 singles.
Olivia Fong, Jr., Millis
She's been a TVL all-star every season of her varsity career, including last year. Millis advanced to the Division 4 state tournament each of the past two years, as well.
Nina Gill, Jr., Lincoln-Sudbury
She and Asha Nagar paired at No. 1 doubles to help the Warriors play for the Division 1 state title. Gill went 10-3 and was a Dual County League all-star.
Mia Griebel, So., Dover-Sherborn
She helped the Raiders reach the Division 3 Final Four last spring and was a TVL all-star.

Lindsey Haddad, Sr., Holliston
The Panthers No. 2 singles player was a TVL all-star in 2023. She helped the Panthers win a Division 2 state tournament preliminary round game a year ago.
Leah Hills, So., Dover-Sherborn
She burst onto the scene as a freshman, going 20-2, which included an 18-0 record at No. 3 singles. The Raiders won 20 matches in a row and raised a Division 3 Final Four trophy. Hills was a TVL All-Star.
Sarah Mackey, Jr., Wellesley
She was named a Bay State Conference All-Star after compiling a 10-0 conference record as part of a 10-0 season. The Raiders named her their most improved player, and Mackey was Wellesley's co-MVP. Wellesley advanced to the Division 1 Round of 16.

Caroline Mahoney, So., Dover-Sherborn
She was one of five Raiders named TVL all-stars last spring, as D-S advanced to the Division 3 Final Four.
Katie Miller, So., Medway
She faced a gauntlet as a freshman No. 1 singles player in the TVL. Miller was named a TVL all-star despite a 2-14 record and will be an anchor for the Mustangs this spring.
Asha Nagar, So., Lincoln-Sudbury
She was named a DCL all-star as a freshman and went 11-3, as the Warriors played for a Division 1 championship. Nagar and Gill formed a dangerous doubles partnership.
Emily Naum, So., Lincoln-Sudbry
She was named a DCL all-star as a freshman after authoring an 11-4 record at No. 1 singles. Naum helped the Warriors reach the Division 1 state final.
Pia Obrador, So., Hopedale
She's already played No. 1 singles for three years and been named a Dual Valley Conference All-Star every year. Obrador went 23-0 a season ago and was named both the DVC Player of the Year and the Blue Raiders' MVP. Hopedale advanced to the Division 4 quarterfinals.
Maria-Lila Shutts, Sr., Wellesley
She was named a Bay State Conference all-star last season and helped the Raiders advance to the Division 1 quarterfinals.
Aaruni Singh, Sr., Ashland
The Clockers' No. 1 singles player was a TVL all-star last spring. Ashland qualified for the Division 3 state tournament.
Lia Swire, Jr., Lincoln-Sudbury
She helped the Warriors reach the Division 1 state final and was 14-5 rotating between No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Swire has a top-15 UTSA ranking and serves on the USTA New England Junior Player Council.
Olivia Todd, Jr., Wayland
She was one of two DCL all-stars for Waylandlast spring, as the Warriors raised a Division 3 Final Four trophy.
Sydney Tolonen, Jr., Franklin
The junior paired with Brooke Daniels as a top doubles pair. She was named a Hockomock all-star, as Franklin played in the Division 1 state tournament.
Shannon Welburn, So., Wellesley
She helped push the Raiders to a Division 1 quarterfinal appearance and was named a Bay State Conference all-star.

Shea Welburn, So., Wellesley
She lost just one match as a freshman and was named the Raiders Most Improved Player and a Bay State Conference All-Star. Wellesley advanced to the Division 1 quarterfinals after an 18-1 season.
Grace Zhang, So., Natick
She was named te Bay State Conference Cary League MVP as a freshman and didn't lose a set, Zhang posted a 16-0 record at No. 1 singles and lost just 18 games all season. She was the No. 10 ranked player U14 in New England.
