24 IU athletes, 10 programs represented in latest round of Hoosiers For Good NIL deals

BLOOMINGTON – Hoosiers For Good, the charity-based NIL collective officially partnered with IU athletics, facilitated name, image and likeness arrangements between 24 Indiana athletes and 10 in-state charities as part of its 2023 spring class.

It is the collective's largest single class, to date.

Fully 10 different athletic programs — IU women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s golf, volleyball, men’s swimming, women’s diving, men’s track and field, wrestling and women’s tennis — are represented.

“Hoosiers For Good is proud to continue to partner with several Indiana-based charitable organizations and add a few new partners to this spring class,” executive director Tyler Harris said. “Over the last year, we’ve had the opportunity to work alongside our charity partners and see firsthand the kind of difference that they make in our communities, and we’re honored to be able to be a small part of it.”

This class marks the start of a second full year of NIL activity for Hoosiers For Good, which works alongside a business-focused collective, Hoosiers Connect, operated largely under the same structure.

Since its first group of deals announced in March 2022, Hoosiers For Good has partnered IU athletes with close to two dozen charities across the state. Those agreements, allowed under name, image and likeness rules reformed in summer 2021, are funded via third-party donations to Hoosiers For Good, a 5019(c)(3) non-profit, which then apportions that money into deals it brokers between athletes and partner charities.
