2024 Ohio-based defensive back puts Michigan football in top group

Michigan football is working diligently to steal players from the state of Ohio that the Buckeyes covet, thus reversing the narrative Jim Tressel set back in 2001.

The Wolverines already have four players committed from the Buckeye State and have been all-in working on cornerbacks Bryce West and Aaron Scott.

But there is another prospect who could end up wearing maize and blue who also plays cornerback and hails from the state of Ohio.

2024 Cincinnati (Ohio) Withrow four-star cornerback Terhyon Nichols is set to visit Ann Arbor near the end of June. He also has an Ohio State offer. Nichols released a top six on Wednesday, and Michigan football made the cut with OSU, Penn State, Kentucky, Cincinnati and Pitt.

Nichols is the No. 329 player in the country per the 247Sports composite, the 29th-best cornerback and ninth-rated player from the state of Ohio.

Certainly, Aaron Scott is likely the highest priority at the position for the Wolverines, but given Michigan stole Jordan Marshall away from the Buckeyes, taking any other Ohio-based player who has an offer to play in Columbus would be seen as a big coup.
