2024 NFL Draft: Full list of players with South Dakota ties who were drafted or signed as UDFA

Surrounded by family and friends, Mason McCormick took a phone call that will undoubtedly change his life. Dressed in a Jackrabbits blue ¾ zip up, the offensive lineman held his face between his fists to answer the phone.

After he hung up, he let his family know the good news.

“We’re going to Pittsburgh,” McCormick announced to the cheers of everyone in the room. The fifth-year senior shared big hugs with the family around him, knowing he'd just accomplished a lifelong dream.

McCormick was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the NFL Draft with the 119th overall pick. He wasn’t the only South Dakota State football player to hear their name called during the NFL Draft.

Here is the full list of players with South Dakota ties who were drafted or signed other deals with NFL teams:

  • The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted South Dakota State’s Mason McCormick in the fourth round with the 119th pick

  • The Cleveland Browns drafted South Dakota’s Myles Harden in the seventh round with the 227th pick

  • South Dakota State’s Dyshawn Gales signed with the Cleveland Browns

  • South Dakota State’s Isaiah Stahlbird signed with the New Orleans Saints

  • South Dakota State’s Jaxon Janke signed with the Houston Texans

  • South Dakota State’s Zach Heins signed with the Los Angeles Chargers

  • South Dakota’s Brendan Webb was invited to the San Francisco 49ers rookie camp

  • South Dakota’s Isaac Erbes was invited to the Tennessee Titans rookie camp

  • South Dakota’s Stephen Hillis was invited to the Buffalo Bills rookie camp

  • South Dakota’s Brock Mogensen signed a UDFA deal with the Dallas Cowboys

  • Augustana’s Casey Bauman signed a free-agent deal with the Los Angeles Chargers

  • Augustana’s Blake Larson signed a free-agent deal with the Los Angeles Rams
