2024 MLB mock draft roundup ahead of College World Series
The 2024 Men's College World Series' selection show is on Monday, and the 2024 MLB Draft is one month after the start of the tournament. With three weeks of regionals, super regionals and Men's College World Series games, players still have plenty of opportunities to improve their draft stock.
Heading into the finales of various conference tournaments, some of the same players that have stood out all year remain atop the latest MLB mock drafts. Oregon State infielder Travis Bazzana is one of them, as is Georgia outfielder/first baseman Charlie Condon.
Ahead of Monday's selection show, here's how analysts are projecting the top picks in this year's MLB draft before the Men's College World Series begins.

No. 1 overall pick, Cleveland Guardians
Keith Law, The Athletic: Travis Bazzana, 2B, Oregon State
Law writes: "Cleveland tends to be very guarded with their intentions, but teams behind them expect them to choose between Bazzana and Charlie Condon, with a slight chance they do a well under-slot deal with prep shortstop/outfielder Konnor Griffin. Whoever they take, expect them to try to shave a substantial amount from the slot value for the 1-1 pick."

Callis writes: "The Guardians haven't made a decision yet and have plenty of time to do so, though other clubs believe they favor Bazzana over Condon. Like most of the hitters at the top of the Draft, Bazzana is having a monster year (.424/.589/.972, 26 homers, ranking second in NCAA Division I in on-base percentage, slugging and OPS). He makes more contact and offers slightly more defensive value than Condon."

Law writes: "I believe the Reds are just sitting here with open arms, waiting to see if it’s Condon or Bazzana, although they have scouted all of the top 10 pretty heavily this spring."

Callis writes: "Condon already has 34 homers, the most since the NCAA instituted stricter bat regulations in 2011 (aka the BBCOR era). He offers the best combination of power, contact and plate discipline available."

No. 3 overall pick, Colorado Rockies
Keith Law, The Athletic: Hagen Smith, LHP, Arkansas
Law writes: "Assuming the top two are gone, this selection seems likely to be one of the two top college pitchers (Smith or Wake Forest’s Chase Burns) or possibly Florida two-way player Jac Caglianone."
Jim Callis, MLB Pipeline: Jac Caglianone, 1B/LHP, Florida
Callis writes: "Caglianone is batting .418/.529/.862 with 28 homers (second to Condon) and an absurd 7 percent strikeout rate despite a 39 percent chase rate that worries some clubs. His raw pop rivals Condon's and he's also intriguing as a power-armed lefty pitcher, though he'll be drafted as a slugger."
