2023 U.S. Women’s Open odds, championship history and picks to win

For the first time ever, the best women golfers in the world are headed to the Monterey Peninsula and Pebble Beach Golf Links for the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open.

The storylines are plentiful with Amy Olson playing while seven months pregnant, Michelle Wie West teeing it up for the final time as a professional and Rose Zhang being the outright betting favorite.

In two LPGA starts this season, the former Stanford star won the Mizuho Americas Open at Liberty National and tied for eighth at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in her first major start as a pro. Zhang is listed at 12/1 at several sportsbooks.

Rose Zhang (12/1)

It’s tough to go with the betting favorite, but Zhang has earned it with her first two professional outings.

Plus, how cool would it be for Rose, the next superstar of the LPGA, to win her first major championship at Pebble Beach? That’s storybook stuff right there.

Leona Maguire (20/1)

After winning the Meijer LPGA Classic, Maguire was in position to win the KPMG Women’s PGA before a final-round 3-over 74 sent her tumbling down the leaderboard. She tied for 11th.

In tough coastal conditions, Maguire should thrive. He tied for eighth at last year’s U.S. Women’s Open.

Khang tied for fourth at the KPMG Women’s PGA a few weeks ago thanks to back-to-back 4-under 67s over the weekend.

At Pine Needles last year, Khang tied for eighth alongside Nelly Korda and Maguire.
