2023 All-Star Team: See who made our lineup of the best from Bucks County and Eastern Montco

Picking top players is never easy, considering all of the different leagues that make up the Bucks County Courier Times/Intelligencer coverage area, but our annual all-star team represents some of the great high school athletes we saw all year.

The top players from all over Bucks and Montgomery counties are recognized here with our first, second and honorable-mention selections.

First-Team Offense

Central Bucks West senior Cooper Taylor is the Courier Times/Intelligencer first-team quarterback.

  • Running back - Anthony Leonardi, Central Bucks South, Sr.: A first-team SOL National Conference selection, he rushed for 2,006 yards and 16 touchdowns.

  • Wide receiver - Danny Dyches, Souderton, Sr.: A first-team SOL Continental Conference selection, he set school records with 60 catches for 900 yards and also scored seven touchdowns.

  • Wide receiver - Conor McFadden, Central Bucks West, Sr.: A first-team SOL National Conference selection, he scored 16 touchdowns (11 rushing, three receiving and two on defense. He also rushed for 656 yards, averaging over 16 yards per carry, on 41 attempts

  • Tight end - Jack Donnelly, Central Bucks East, Sr.: A first-team SOL National Conference selection, he had 49 catches for 605 yards and seven touchdowns. He finished his career with 10 school records (nine on offense and one on defense). Will play in college at the University of Pennsylvania.

  • Offensive line - Andrew Brennan, La Salle High, Sr.: A first-team PCL Red Division selection, he anchored the offensive line as a team captain and three-year starter.

  • Offensive line - Joe Collins, Central Bucks East, Sr.: A first-team SOL National Conference selection, he had 29 pancake blocks this season and 85 for his career. Also, did not allow a sack.

  • Offensive line - Collin Goetter, Central Bucks South, Sr.: A first-team SOL National Conference selection, he was a three-year starter. Will play in college at Monmouth University.

  • Offensive line - Hayden Mulligan, Central Bucks West, Sr.: A first-team SOL National Conference selection, he was a team captain and started every game (39) since his sophomore season.

  • Offensive line - Kyler Nelson, Neshaminy, Jr.: A first-team SOL National Conference selection, he anchored both the offensive and defensive lines as a two-way starter.

  • Placekicker - Rylan Zuk, Souderton, Sr.: A first-team SOL Continental Conference selection at both placekicker and punter, he made 11 field goals and had 37 touchbacks on kickoffs.

  • Athlete - Sam Cooper, Conwell-Egan, Sr.: A first-team PCL Blue Division selection as a multi-purpose player, he dominated both sides of the ball as a running back and defensive back.

First-team Defense

  • Defensive line - Aiden Elliott, Souderton, Sr.: A first-team SOL Continental Conference selection, and two-time Courier Times/Intelligencer first-team selection, he had 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

  • Defensive line - Sincer Fairey, Conwell-Egan, Jr.: A first-team PCL Blue Division selection and defensive end and running back, he had 11 sacks on defense.

  • Defensive line - Anthony Ferrugio, Quakertown, Sr.: A first-team SOL Continental Conference selection, he had 9.5 sacks and three interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.

  • Defensive line - Jack Williams, Central Bucks West, Sr.: A first-team SOL National Conference selection, he had 4.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss. Also had 13 catches at tight end and handled the punting chores.

  • Linebacker - Gavin Pond, Conwell-Egan, Sr.: A first-team PCL Blue Division selection, he made 85 tackles with 29 of them coming for loss. Also had two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and a blocked punt.

  • Linebacker - Sean Moskowitz, Central Bucks South, Sr.: A first-team SOL National Conference selection, and two-time Courier Times/Intelligencer first-team selection, he made 96 tackles with 10.5 of them coming for loss.

  • Linebacker - Ben Primich, Pennsbury, Sr.: A first-team SOL National Conference selection, he made 113 tackles with 27 coming for loss and also had six sacks.

George School drops football: George School decides to drop its high school football program

  • Defensive back - Aqual Chapman, Harry S. Truman, Sr.: A first-team SOL Continental Conference selection, he was a two-way standout at defensive back and running back. Also, a standout baseball player.

  • Defensive back - Jack Mauz, Central Bucks South, Sr.: A first-team SOL National Conference first-team selection, he made 42 tackles and also had a fumble recovery.

  • Defensive back - Joey O'Brien, La Salle High, Soph.: A first-team PCL Red Division selection, and the only sophomore first-team Courier Times/Intelligencer selection, he mad 38 tackles, had three interceptions and also caught 24 passes for three touchdowns on offense.

  • Defensive back - Joe Scarpello, Archbishop Wood, Sr.: A first-team PCL Red Division selection as a multi-purpose player, he was also a second-team defensive back selection.

  • Punter - Ryan Bocklet, North Penn, Jr.: A first-team SOL National Conference selection at both placekicker and punter, he averaged nearly 39 yards per punt and also kicked five field goals.
