2023 Nike EYBL Peach Jam: Top prospects to watch this year

It's that time again.

The amateur basketball world descends on the Augusta area every July as top basketball prospects compete for the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League title in the annual Peach Jam.

The tournament takes place July 3-9 at North Augusta's Riverview Park Activities Center. Teams will check in over the weekend, and games begin Monday. Not only will many of the nation's top high school basketball players be in town, but their presence also draws many of the top college coaches and a handful of NBA stars who sponsor teams, including Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony.

There will be a touch of homegrown talent in the 17U group this year. Grovetown star forward Derrion Reid will once again be competing, this time for Team Thad Nation out of Memphis. Alongside Reid will be former Augusta Christian guard Elijah Crawford, now at Legacy Early College High School in Columbia, S.C. Both are in the Class of 2024.
