Wrestler of the year
Michael Murillo, Bakersfield, senior, 215-pound division: Finished off an impressive high school career with a third-place finish at the CIF State Championships, his third consecutive top-3 finish. Murillo also collected his third straight Masters title and placed first in Central Section Division I.
Coaches of the year
Juan Gallardo, Wasco: Followed up a SSL title by leading the Tigers to the Central Section Division-III championship and an 18th-place finish at Masters.
Manuel Vasquez, South: Led Spartans to the South Yosemite Mountain League championship, followed by a runner-up finish in Division II and was seventh at Masters.

120: Daniel Benavides, Highland, sophomore: Central Section Division-III runner-up was seventh at Masters and went 4-2 at CIF State Championships.
126: Eduardo Munoz, Chavez, senior: Central Section Division-IV champion was fourth at Masters and went 2-2 at the CIF State Championships.
132: Caleb McElroy, Bakersfield, junior: Was fifth in Central Section Division I, placed ninth at Masters and went 2-2 at the CIF State Championships.
138: Aiden Simmons, Bakersfield, junior: Central Section Division-II runner-up was third at Masters and fourth at the CIF State Championships.
144: Braden Priest, Bakersfield, junior: Was third in Central Section Division I, placed fourth at Masters and was eighth at the CIF State Championships.
