2022-23 final Philadelphia 76ers player grades: Shake Milton

The 2022-23 season ended for the Philadelphia 76ers with a Game 7 loss to the Boston Celtics in the second round of the playoffs, so it’s time to reflect on the season.

Thoughts

There was a stretch in November and December when the Sixers were dealing with injuries to both James Harden and Tyrese Maxey. They needed somebody to step in, and Milton did a really nice job.

Milton averaged 14.2 points in November, and he helped keep the Sixers afloat. Overall, he started 11 games and he averaged 20.3 points, 7.2 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in those games.

After the All-Star break, Milton’s minutes went down and he averaged only 6.4 points and 3.5 assists after the break. He wasn’t a part of the rotation in the playoffs, and one has to wonder if he will return for the 2023-24 season.

Final grade: B-minus
