When the Miami Dolphins defeated the New Orleans Saints 20-3 on Monday at Caesars Superdome, they etched their name into the NFL history books.

This win marked the seventh in a row for the Dolphins, as they continue their stretch of dominance. They’ve done so after losing seven straight prior to this winning streak, making them the first team in league history to lose seven in a row and win seven in a row in the same season.

Seven games ago, Miami’s season was over. No one had ever made the playoffs after losing seven of their first eight contests in a season. Just two months later, the Dolphins are currently the seventh seed in the AFC with control of their own destiny.

If they continue winning, they will play postseason football. There’s even a chance, albeit a very minimal one, that they win the AFC East.

The 2021 Dolphins have their name in football lore forever after making one of the most improbable turnarounds this league has seen.
