2017 Georgia-Missouri: A look at Josh Heupel’s first game coaching in Athens

No. 3 Tennessee (8-0, 4-0 SEC) will play at No. 1 Georgia (8-0, 5-0 SEC) Saturday in Week 10.

Kickoff between the Vols and Bulldogs is slated for 3:30 p.m. EDT at Sanford Stadium. CBS will televise the SEC East matchup.

Saturday will mark the second time Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel has competed at Sanford Stadium as a SEC coach.

Heupel served as Missouri’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2016-17.

During Heupel’s second season as the Tigers’ offensive coordinator, Georgia defeated Missouri, 53-28, on Oct. 14, 2017 at Sanford Stadium.

Missouri scored three of its touchdowns during the first half. The Tigers and Bulldogs were tied, 14-14, at the end of the first quarter.

Missouri quarterback Drew Lock recorded 253 passing yards, four passing touchdowns and one interception in the game.

Emanuel Hall led Missouri with 141 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.

Damarea Crockett led the Tigers with 32 rushing yards.

Sony Michel recorded two rushing touchdowns and the Bulldogs totaled 370 rushing yards.

Georgia scored 26 unanswered points at one point in the contest.
