MBA's Brooklen Davis edges out Brentwood's Gavyn Nelson for Large Class athlete of the week

Davis' 6,191 votes was enough to beat out Brentwood running back Gavyn Nelson who had 6,010 as Davis captured the La Z Boy Furniture Galleries Large Class boys athlete of the week.

Davis captured 44.9% of the Large Class total compared to Nelson's 43.6%. The Large Class generated 13,770 total votes. Mt. Juliet's Jon Mikael Crudup finished third with 982 votes.

Davis had 34 carries for 221 yards and scored two TDs for the Big Red in their first DII-AAA Middle Region win, beating Knoxville Catholic 17-12 last Friday.
