14-year-old boy latest NYC youth injured in subway surfing incident

A 14-year-old boy was injured while surfing a Brooklyn subway train, police said Sunday.

The teen was riding atop a Coney Island-bound F train when he fell at the Seventh Ave. station in Park Slope just before 1:40 p.m., according to cops.

Police responding to the scene discovered the boy conscious and responsive. Medics took him to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

He was the latest youth to fall victim to the dangerous trend.

Last week, a 10-year-old boy was caught riding on top of an A train on elevated tracks at the Beach 60th St. station in the Rockaways. The boy was not injured, but was taken into custody by police who prepared a juvenile report before releasing him to his mother several hours later.

In January, 14-year-old Alam Reyes was killed when he fell from a Coney Island-bound F train he was surfing in Brooklyn.
