Warriors waive three

The Golden State Warriors waived forward/center Dwayne Jones, guard Scott Machado and guard Kevin Murphy.

Jones was signed on the final day of the regular season and appeared in two playoff games for the Warriors after playing in 21 games for the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League, averaging 8.8 points, 12.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contests.

Machado signed with the Warriors on April 7 and saw brief action in five playoff games. He also played in six games for the Houston Rockets last season.

Murphy was acquired from the Utah Jazz as part of a three-team trade on July 10 in which Golden State also landed Andre Iguodala from the Denver Nuggets. As a rookie last season with the Jazz, Murphy appeared in 17 games and averaged 0.9 points in 3.1 minutes per contest.
