Vikings QB Ponder out with concussion

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder left Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears with a concussion and will not return, the team announced.

Ponder was injured when he was hit by Bears defensive end Shea McClellin after a third-down pass late in the second quarter. Ponder was also sacked three times in the first half.

Matt Cassel replaced Ponder.

Ponder completed three of eight passes for 40 yards.

The Vikings trailed 7-6 at the half.
