VIDEO: The NFL Today crew gets ready for Sunday's NFL action

The NFL is back, and that means The NFL Today is back on CBS.

The network begins its 55th year of NFL coverage with the debut of several new analysts on The NFL Today on Sunday and the launch of Thursday Night Football later in the week.

Newcomers Tony Gonzalez and Bart Scott join a lineup that includes host James Brown, and analysts Boomer Esiason and Bill Cowher. New NFL rules expert Mike Carey, NFL Today Insider Jason La Canfora and Lesley Visser also contribute to the show.

Sunday's noon-1 p.m. ET show includes Cowher's sitdown interview with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Other topics this week include a look at the highly competitive AFC North, the NFL's rookie quarterback class and the impact that the addition of Darrelle Revis might have on the New England Patriots.

As the above promotional video shows, the gang has been putting in some (fun) work in training camp to be ready for Sunday.

CBS Sports Network brings back That Other Pregame Show (TOPS) for its second year, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. ET. Former NFL standouts London Fletcher and Fred Smoot join the cast this year that also includes former Women's Professional Football quarterback Anita Marks and returnees Adam Schein, Amy Trask and Brandon Tierney.

The Week 1 game lineup, with announcing teams (all 1 p.m. starts):

Patriots at Dolphins — Greg Gumbel/Trent Green/Evan Washburn

Bengals at Ravens — Spero Dedes/Solomon Wilcots

Raiders at Jets — Ian Eagle/Dan Fouts/Jenny Dell

Browns at Steelers — Jim Nantz/Phil Simms/Tracy Wolfson
