UFC on FX 4 Attendance: Atlantic City Sold Out

UFC on FX 4: Maynard vs. Guida on Friday night pulled in an attendance of 4,652 to the Revel in Atlantic City, N.J., good enough for a sellout, according to UFC officials at the post-fight press conference.

Live gate receipts were not immediately available.

UFC on FX 4 marked the promotion’s return to Atlantic City for the first time since UFC 53, which featured Andrei Arlovski vs. Justin Eilers in the main event, battling for the interim UFC heavyweight championship.

UFC 53 reportedly drew an audience of around 12,000 with a $1.1 million live gate.

Of course, that was a time when Atlantic City was a regular stop on the UFC’s docket, before the promotion’s globetrotting took hold. Now the UFC has more markets around the world wanting them to run an event or come back and run another than they can realistically fulfill.

UFC on FX 4 featured an awkward main event between Gray Maynard and Clay Guida, with Maynard coming out on the wining end of split decision.
